How to Light up a Light Bulb with Static Electricity

Believe it or not, you can make such a transfer of static electricity happen, and you can even use that static electricity to spark a small light bulb. You may even feel a little like the ancient Greek god Zeus, throwing down lightning bolts from Mount Olympus!

You only need a few things for this experiment:

• a plastic comb
• your own hair or a wool sweater
• a light bulb
• a dark room in which to perform the experiment
